The Pledge Promise
We don't print a single roll until you vote.
Here's the whole business model, no mirrors: most brands guess how much to make, park it in a warehouse, and build the markup into your price. We're doing it backwards on purpose. You pledge first — $0 today, just a card on file. Then we print exactly that. The money you save is the warehouse that doesn't exist.
The timeline
- 1Today: you pledge. Nothing is charged — we save your card and count your vote. That's what makes the factory take a tiny new brand seriously.
- 2The drop closes on a posted date. If pledges hit the goal (1,000 rolls), we charge the saved cards and the presses start. You get an email that says so, with actual photos when there are photos.
- 36–8 weeks later: your rolls ship — and because you pledged early, you get first access. Tracking number, confetti, the works.
- ✦If we miss the goal: Pledging costs you nothing today — we save your card and only charge it if the Founding Drop hits its goal and goes to print. Pledgers get first access when it does. If we don't reach the goal, your card is simply never charged. No deposit, no refund to chase, no drama.
Why we're proud of this, not sorry about it
Pledges mean nothing gets made that nobody wants, and no money changes hands for a product that doesn't exist yet. No overstock, no landfill of unsold inventory — which would be a deeply embarrassing way for a trash bag company to go. It also means the founding designs are genuinely limited: when a drop closes, that print run is the print run.
You're not buying from a faceless catalog. You're one of the people who decided this brand should exist. That's why founding prices stay struck through forever on later drops — you were here first, and we don't forget it.
