Pledge & Refund Policy

The headline promise

The Founding Drop runs on pledges, not charges. When you pledge, $0 is taken — we securely save your card with Stripe. We charge it only if the drop reaches its goal of 1,000 rolls by the posted close date. If we don't reach the goal, your card is never charged — there's no deposit being held, so there's nothing to refund and nothing for you to do. We'll email you either way.

Changed your mind before the drop closes?

Easy — since nothing has been charged, there's nothing to refund. Email hello@goodriddancebags.com with “cancel my pledge” and we'll remove your saved card and your pledge. Once the drop closes and cards are charged, production has started with your rolls in it, so orders become final.

Damaged or defective (after you're charged)

If your rolls arrive damaged, or a bag fails in normal kitchen use, email a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace the roll or refund it — your choice. A trash bag brand cannot afford to argue about broken trash bags.

Founding Member subscription

A Founding Member pledge is also $0 today — we save your card. If the drop hits its goal, your first roll is charged at launch and the monthly roll begins from there; skip or cancel anytime from the link in any email. If we miss the goal, your saved card is simply released and never charged.

Ship window slips

The stated window is 6–8 weeks after the drop hits its goal. If production runs more than 3 weeks past it, we'll offer everyone who's been charged the option of a full refund — waiting should be a choice, not a hostage situation.
