Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of goodriddancebags.com and any pledge or purchase from Good Riddance Bags (“Good Riddance,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or placing a pledge, you agree to them. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to pledge.

1. Pledge terms (the part that matters)

• All Founding Drop orders are pledges: $0 is charged at checkout and your card is securely saved with our payment processor (Stripe).
• We charge your saved card only if the drop reaches its goal of 1,000 rolls by the posted close date. Pledgers get first access at launch.
• If the drop does not reach the goal, your card is never charged — there is no deposit held and nothing to refund.
• Estimated shipping is 6–8 weeks after the drop hits its goal. Estimates are estimates; our slip policy is in the Pledge & Refund Policy.
• You can cancel a pledge anytime before the drop closes; once charged, orders are final.
• Founding Member pledges are $0 today; recurring billing begins at first shipment and may be skipped or canceled anytime.
• By placing a pledge you agree we may display your first name and city (never your last name, email, or any payment details) on our public pledge wall and live pledge ticker, to show the drop's momentum. Want off the wall? Email us and we'll remove you.
• US shipping addresses only for the Founding Drop.

2. Pricing, taxes & acceptable use

Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change between drops (locked subscription pricing excepted). Applicable taxes and shipping are calculated at the time we charge. If a price or product is listed in error, we may cancel the affected pledge and won't charge you for it. Product imagery may include renders during the pledge period; printed colors can vary slightly between screens and film. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to scrape, clone, resell, or misrepresent it, and we may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion (we use this for fraud, not for vibes).

3. Intellectual property

All designs, patterns, names, phrases, and copy are © Good Riddance Bags. Don't print our prints. We do license to collaborators — write us at hello@goodriddancebags.com.

4. Disclaimers

The site and products are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties (such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). Bags are intended for household waste up to their stated capacity. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Good Riddance is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the order in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights that consumer law gives you regardless.

6. Indemnification

You agree to cover reasonable claims arising from your misuse of the site or violation of these Terms. (In plain terms: don't do something dodgy with our site and leave us holding the bag.)

7. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Good Riddance Bags is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We'll always try to sort things out informally first — email hello@goodriddancebags.com and give us a chance to make it right.

8. Changes & severability

If these Terms change in a way that matters, we'll post the date up top and, where appropriate, email you; continued use is acceptance. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
